As my 5-year wedding anniversary approaches, I've decided to share some of the details from my big day. In my last post, I shared our Save-The-Dates and today I'm going to show you our invitations.
We had already set the stage for our event with whimsical save-the-date booklets which we mailed in small kraft boxes. Sticking to the same color scheme and using variations of the same materials, our invitations helped to establish the more formal feel of our wedding.
A 3-layer panel card was wrapped with creamy vellum and accented with a red belly band and brown satin ribbon. Enclosures included a response set, info card and tri-fold directions card. My favorite detail was the wax seal we used to close the back of each envelope. (Secret: It's actually red hot-glue!)
The envelopes were lined with the same red rose paper I used for the Save-The-Dates. I also added a vintage French map to the front of the directions card...a subtle nod to the fact that we got engaged in Paris. (That is actually a very funny story that I should share in another post!) Oh, and the monogram logo that I designed for the Save-The-Dates found it's way to the RSVP card.
I loved how it all turned out and was thrilled at the response we got. Years later I actually reproduced this design in sage and brown for one of my Brass Paperclip brides. :)
Hope you enjoyed this sneek peek. I'll be posting photos from the wedding day next week.
XOXO Cindi
